Here’s a couple items for the mark your calendar category. The first one is that the Mule Deer Foundation is holding their annual banquet on March 27th this year. It will be held at the Eagle’s Hall on Wenatchee Avenue again, and they are hoping to raise some big dollars to help the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Associate with the care and maintenance of the fencing that helps protect our local big horn sheep herd. Monies will also be dedicated to support the Pioneer Archery Program. It is nice to note that the Mule Deer Foundation has the highest net to gross for their benefits than another group in the state. Tickets for the event can be found at Hooked on Toys, One Shot Firearms, Stan’s and High Mountain Hunting Supply. For more information contact Dennis Mengelos at 509-433-1620. Next up is the 2010 Washington Fly Fishing Fair that will be held at the Kittitas County Event Center in Ellensburg. It will take place on April 30th and May 1st. The weekend is loaded with fly tying, seminars, classes and demonstrations that the beginning to expert fly anglers will enjoy. The admission cost to attend the whole weekend is just five bucks.
