It’s here already. The Wenatchee Salmon Derby kicks off this Friday, and timing is perfect this year for excellent fishing. This is the second annual and the organizers did a great job on the first one, so this one will be even better. There is still time to register for the event. Just log onto

Everyone had a great time and won a ton of prizes whether they caught a fish or didn’t even fish in the derby. My wife was surprised to win a hundred dollar gas card from the Triangle Texaco in Brewster. Tom Kallas from Hooked on Toys put her name on it and put in the bucket! Heck I was the real winner. I used the gas to fish at Brewster. Anyway that’s just part of the fun of these derbies. So if you haven’t signed up yet, do it today. You’ll have a great time. Don’t forget, about the Brewster Derby. It’s coming up the first weekend in August again. I have a feeling the fishing is going to be off the charts good for this one this year.
