By Dave Graybill

Man, I am excited. I am going sockeye fishing! My long time fishing buddy Brian Anatatmula got a boat and he is taking me to Brewster to try our luck. Brian and I have been fishing together for years. I have been taking him and his kids and sometimes his Mom and Dad fishing for everything from steelhead to salmon on the Columbia. We have had some great times. He is very proud of his new boat and is eager to show me how he has created a real fishing machine. I haven’t fished at Brewster yet this year and from the reports I am getting, the fishing should be great. We are leaving very early from Wenatchee and I hope we get their in time to take advantage of the morning bite on the Brewster Pool. I am bringing the tackle box I have set up for fishing at Lake Wenatchee, and a couple of my favorite pink spinners from Kokabow Tackle. These worked great at Wells a couple of weeks ago. Wish me luck and I’ll let you know how we do. My Monday report will give you all the details on sockeye fishing on the Brewster Pool.
