This will be a very busy week for fishing and boating enthusiasts. The biggest sports show in the state starts this Wednesday, January 23rd. It’s the Washington Sportsmen’s Show and Sport Fishing Boat Show in Puyallup. People come to this show from all over the state to see what’s being offered by over 500 exhibitors and learn from the experts at 50 seminars a day. There are some new elements to this year’s show. The Kayak Pavilion has been added as fishing from these platforms has exploded in recent years. Walleye Alley is another exhibit that been created in response to the growing interest in walleye fishing across the state. There is also an Outdoor Cooking Competition that show attendees can watch and also view seminars presented by the competitors. The show runs through Sunday, January 27th. The show will open at noon on Wednesday and close at 8. Hours are the same on Thursday. On Saturday the show opens at 10 and closes at 8 and on Sunday the doors will open at 10 and close at 4.
